Requirements for the position:

• Strong playing background, 4 years of collegiate squash preferred, professional squash a plus.
• Minimum squash skills of US rating of 4.5 level or higher.
• 2 years of club coaching experience is definitely a plus, and willingness to coach all levels, from the very beginner level to the top.
• Proactive leader – be the example for a group of aspiring young players and command their respect, anticipate situations and bring new ideas to them and the Academy.
• Strong communicator, well organized and always on time.
• Computer skills.
• Good presentation and salesmanship to promote our passion and our sport.
• A genuine passion to teach the game to both children who take on the sport as well as to those who compete amongst the very best – be passionate about helping to shape their character and future.
• In possession of a valid US work visa.

About the Position
Access Youth Academy seeks a committed Squash Coach who will support the youth by managing a year-round comprehensive squash program including planning and implementing practices. The Squash Coach will work closely with the Executive Director and Program Director to ensure the successful development, planning, and administration of the program. The successful candidate will bring a passion for inspiring, mentoring, and guiding urban youth as well as a strong background in squash and coaching.

Responsibilities:
• Plan and administer daily after-school squash and fitness sessions practices for 40+ middle and high school students with an emphasis on development and hard work
• Build strong relationships with students and their families, through constant interaction
• Work closely with the Executive Director to meet the needs of your students and ensure a fully integrated curriculum (fitness, health, and life-skills)
• Record, track and evaluate daily progress (attitude, participation, effort)
• Coordinate squash component of program tryouts.
• Communicate with families and staff about issues related to student effort and development
• Schedule and coordinate team squash matches and individual tournaments for players as appropriate
• Coordinate team trips to National Urban Team and Individual Championships and other tournaments
• Coordinate summer programming

Qualifications:
• Experience coaching squash and/or working with underserved youth
• Substantial squash playing experience
• Outstanding speaking, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Able to work Monday-Fridays, and most Saturdays
• Adaptability, creativity, and initiative-taking

The assistant coach will assist the head coach in all aspects of a highly competitive NCAA Division III squash program. The assistant coach will be primarily involved in coaching, recruiting, meet management, and various other administrative tasks as assigned by the head coach. The position requires an understanding of the role of intercollegiate athletics in a highly competitive academic environment. Requires night and weekend work, and overnight travel to away meets and tournaments. The assistant coach takes appropriate actions to support a diverse workforce and participates in the College’s efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching

  • Assist with coaching strategies and teaching methods to develop student-athletes’ skill and teamwork
  • Analyze performance of teams and individuals and provide leadership and instruction

  • Assist in pre-season, in-season, and post-season training and practice planning

Recruiting

  • Participate in scouting and recruits prospective student-athletes
  • Help monitor the progress of prospective student-athletes application process

Program Responsibilities

  • Compliance with College, NESCAC, CSA, and NCAA rules and regulations
  • Perform any and all other related duties as assigned or directed by the head coach

The Round Hill Club, founded in 1924, is a private member-owned Club located in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA and is recognized as one of the country’s premier Clubs. The Club offers a wide range of activities for its membership including dining, golf, shooting, fitness facility, indoor and outdoor tennis, paddle and squash. The squash facility has 3 modern, well maintained singles courts and a North American Hardball doubles squash court. The squash program boasts one of the strongest junior programs in the country, with over 130 kids playing regularly. The club hosts a yearly WSA singles and SDA Pro Doubles event as well as being the host of the US Mixed Doubles Nationals from 2013-2015.

Position Summary
Located only 45mins from New York City, the Club is in the heart of squash on the East coast. The Assistant Squash Professional will support the Head Squash Professional in teaching lessons, clinics, pro shop management, tournaments, event direction, exhibitions, and other duties relating to the running of this highly regarded squash program.

Main Responsibilities
The Assistant Professional’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, teaching lessons and clinics to both junior and adult players of all abilities, helping to organize the junior clinic program, pro shop administration and general communication with membership, traveling to tournaments, organization of Club and national tournaments and to generally enhance the member experience by proactively engaging the membership in all things squash related.

Seattle Urban Squash (SUS) seeks a dynamic Executive Director who combines administrative and interpersonal skills to provide leadership, oversight and direction to the organization. Our ideal candidate is visionary, multitasker, detail oriented, and possesses business development, fundraising, management, and organizational leadership skills.

Program Description
Seattle Urban Squash is a 501(c)3 nonprofit public charity. Its mission is to help kids from underprivileged backgrounds go to college and realize their full potential in life though squash, academic tutoring, and community service. Founded in January 2013, SUS has grown quickly into a full-fledged program with 14 students with 4 days of rigorous after school program spanning 5 schools in North Seattle and more to come in following years. The program includes an engaged board of directors and advisory board, 30+ dedicated volunteers, and a growing network of donors and supporters.

SUS is modeled on the National Urban Squash and Education Association (NUSEA) criteria. NUSEA has 20+ member programs around the country and worldwide and more on the way. It enrolls over 1,000 students and has sent graduates to over 160 different universities. SUS is close to fulfilling the NUSEA criteria and achieving full NUSEA membership will be one of the mid-term goals for its Executive Director.

SUS has a healthy and rewarding partnership with Seattle Athletic Clubs in Northgate and Seattle Downtown that provide its facility for Squash practice and Academic lessons for all SUS kids, staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities:
● Organize implementation of the program pillars, including squash recruiting and instruction (preferred), educational curriculum including homework assistance, academic enrichment and standardized test preparation, organizing community service and cultural outings.
● Manage and secure annual operating and endowment fundraising to include oversight of grant writing, annual fund, major individual and corporate gifts campaign, matching grants, and annual fundraising event(s).
● Manage Academic Director and Athletic Director; Recruit and mentor volunteers for all aspects of the organization.
● Liaison with SUS accounting firm and Manage all financial, budgetary and administrative aspects of the organization including budget creation and compliance, financial reporting to Board and requisite governmental agencies, accounting, auditing, database management
● Maintain key community partnerships with school(s), students and their families, community service sites, practice facility, volunteers.
● Represent the organization in media outreach and maintain an active website and social media presence.
● Attend and provide necessary reports to quarterly Board of Directors meetings. Engage Board members in active participation of management and decision making for the organization.
● Act as liaison to NUSEA, the National Urban Squash and Education Association (www.nationalurbansquash.org) to learn from and contribute to best practices, and promote national expansion of the urban squash program prototype.

The compensation also includes an attractive bonus (up to 20% of base pay) tied to achieving fundraising self-goals for the year. It also offers 4 weeks of paid annual vacation including 1 week in December, 1 week in Spring and 2 weeks in Summer when school is not in session.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Louisville Boat Club (LBC) is a 144 year old private club and has a rich history in racquet sports. The LBC currently has two singles and one doubles court and hopes to expand in the future. Currently the LBC has 100+ members active in our squash program.

The Assistant Racquets Director & Squash Professional will guide and develop the Louisville Boat Club’s Squash Program while assisting in all facets of the Club’s racquets operations. This includes the management of Club facilities, the development and management of Club racquets programs, lessons, activities, special events, exhibitions, and tournaments. The Assistant Racquets Director will be focused on squash, should have strong squash credentials, and will be solely committed to the Louisville Boat Club.
